Endorsement Supervision

Endorsement supervision for organisational psychology is for those who have completed an approved program of study, are registered as a psychologist with AHPRA and seek to become an endorsed organisational psychologist.

How it works

Before you start

  1. Apply for general registration
  2. Decide that you’d like me as a supervisor and sign the Supervision Agreement. Booking in an obligation-free chat with me might help!
  3. Ensure you are currently in a work role that meets practice requirements.
  4. Have a plan to meet your Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements.
  5. Apply to become a registrar using the AECR-76 form on AHRPA’s website
  6. Book in your first session with me after your registrar program is approved by AHPRA.
  7. Note that these steps are general for those who have completed a MOrg at an Australian University. If your circumstances are different, it would be best to seek advice from AHPRA directly.
  8. For more information, read AHPRA’s information on starting the registrar program.

Sessions

We have an 1 hour supervision session each week for 80 hours in total (if you have completed a Masters of Organisational Psychology). Registrars usually take about 2 years to finish the registrar program.

Sessions are usually conducted online, but can be done face-to-face on occasion based on availability. Hours can be arranged outside of business hours.

If you have another degree (besides the MOrg), please see the requirement for hours at AHPRA’s guidance on practice endorsement.

Registrar preparation for sessions

I have a logbook template for the registrar to complete each week detailing their practice and reflections.

I use the logbook to structure our supervision sessions and also find resources that may support the registrar’s practice and development of psychological competencies.

Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) aka Psychology Board of Australia

AHPRA regulate the registration of psychologists and organisational psychologists. This is a protected title which means those who have not completed the registration requirements cannot call themselves a ‘psychologist’ or ‘organisational psychologist’ in public.

This is what the registrar needs to demonstrate to AHPRA in their registrar program.

Board Endorsed Supervisor

I have been a board-endorsed supervisor since 2022. This means I have passed the supervisor assessment that is recognised by AHRPA and have registered with them as a supervisor. I completed refresher training in 2024 and my next refresher training is in 2029.
